Professional Experience

As an associate at Kinney & Lange, Megan focuses her practice on patent law. This includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing recommendations on international patent applications, and conducting freedom-to-operate and patentability studies. Megan has experience working with individual inventors, small businesses, and multinational corporations.

Megan earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and environmental science from the University of Iowa before attending law school. She then continued her education at Mitchell Hamline College of Law earning her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude. While in law school, Megan was a staff editor for Cybaris®, an Intellectual Property Law Review, and was a member of the 2020 Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court team. Megan taught high school students as a member of the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. Additionally, Megan was a Mitchell Hamline Fellow throughout law school.

Megan enjoys exploring used bookstores and reading her finds. She also sews and makes sample quilts for a local fabric store.
